"Effect: Shuffling a deck the wonder worker advances toward a spectator and gives a brief dissertation on the theories of chance, luck, coincidence, etc. An experiment of such a nature is suggested and the magician removes ten red cards, plus ten black cards, from the deck. He next hands five of the black cards and five of the red cards to the spectator to shuffle or mix as much as he desires. The remaining ten cards, consisting also of five red and five black, are shuffled by the performer and then dealt out face up haphazardly on the table.
The spectator is asked to hold his ten cards face down. He is next introduced to deal one of his face down cards onto any of the face up cards on the table. He is free to change his mind at any time as well as intermittently shuffle his packet during this lay down process. After the spectator has completely dealt out his ten face down cards on to the face up cards, the cardician dilates on the incredible odds against the success of his having matched the color. The cardician turns over the face down card of each pair. An amazing thing has happened. Apparently the law of chance has been repealed, because the spectator has actually matched the colors. Every black card has a black card on top of it, and every red card has a red card on it."
